Apple recently added a feature in Apple Business Manager (ABM) that allows you to federate with a custom IdP in addition to previously available Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace options. We will walk through everything in the process including initial planning & discovery, custom IdP configuration, security considerations, migrating mission critical services like developer accounts & APNs, reclaiming accounts, and living with Managed Apple Accounts (MAAs) in 2025.
